With its capacity to hold over 470,000,000 m3 of water, it tops the list of the largest water reservoirs in the Haute Dordogne.
Thanks to the EDF space, managed by the Bort-les-Orgues tourism services, it is currently possible to visit the dam. The EDF was installed for an "educational, fun and interactive" objective, as stated by the town hall of Bort-les-Orgues on its official website.
